Dear Connie;
It is with tremendous pride and privilege that I write this Letter of Commendation to you this 29th day of July, 2019 for your swift and courageous actions.
In the early morning hours of July 29th, 2019 while heading eastbound on Hwy 401 in the Oshawa area, you observed a private passenger vehicle that was on fire with flames that were coming from the underside of the vehicle. Upon assessing the situation, you immediately pulled over, well behind the burning vehicle, grabbed your onboard fire extinguisher and ran up to the burning vehicle, with passengers still on board and quickly emptied your fire extinguisher into the flames, putting the fire out!
Your quick and decisive actions may very well have thwarted what may otherwise have turned out to be a tragedy. Your selfless actions bring great credit upon yourself, to the trucking industry and to your entire work family here at International Truckload Services.
