In this case “going for the green” relates to our initiatives directed at helping the environment. It is both an individual effort and a collective goal for our company. Like most responsible carriers we have taken the necessary steps to reduce idling, govern speed limits, keep our fleet well maintained, and reduce both paper and energy use in our facilities.
More unique to our organization, is the solar energy project we introduced in 2010.
The system is a 10KW system which will produce energy through the panels and then sell back to the grid. We do not use any of the energy we produce as we are being paid more for the energy we produce that what we pay to Ontario Hydro.
